Everywhere you look, you see people talking about saving money.
And it doesn’t matter much if they do because if you don’t have motivation to do it or have built up excuses why you should not, they can talk until they are blue in the face and it won’t make a bit of difference to you.
So why do some of us save and others fluff it off like it doesn’t matter?
Goals or lack of them are usually the reason why.
Do you have goals that you want to accomplish? Do you have a dream that consumes your every waking moment?
If not, then you need to find one and that is when the changes will start to happen for you.
If you have something that is important to you, such as a once in a lifetime trip, early retirement, traveling and discovering your own country, you need to find that one thing that will keep you motivated. Doesn’t matter much what it is, as long as it’s important to you.
The golden trophy of sorts.
So what is your ultimate dream? Pretty sure it’s not to work until you are too old to enjoy your free time. What would you like to do if you finally had time to do what you wanted to do with your life?
When you figure out what that is, you will start making things happen.
So think of what you really want to be doing with your life. It’s good to think of these things sooner rather than later, so you can start early towards living a life of dreams, instead of making someone else’s dreams come true by making them rich (when you work for someone else).
If we lived in a world where employers took care or actually cared for their employees, this would be a different post, because obviously we can’t all be bosses. But in the world we live in now, it’s important to make sure you are feeling good about your life or rather than you don’t feel stuck under someone’s thumb. We only have one life to live. Might as well make sure it’s a good one.
So get thinking. And write down what you want for yourself. And then start working towards it and let it motivate you to stay on track. It’s the only way saving and paying off debt will work!
