I wrote about going back over your savings list from last year, to see if you could save even more. On the list that came up was the low flow shower heads that we changed last year to a 1.5 gpm (gallons per minute) from 2.6.
We mentioned how little difference it made to our showering needs and how much we saved on it, so we have revisited to see if we can save even more.
I am glad to say that I found a Niagara Shower Head with 3 settings, from 0.5 to 1.00 to 1.5 gallons per minute. I promptly bought it so we can test it out. It’s not a real risk since you have the 3 settings and even if 0.5 is too low, we still have the other 2 settings one being the one we currently have and I’m confident that 1.00 gpm will be more than enough for our needs.
By furthering our hot water conservation, we will be saving more money each month on our hydro bill and anything that adds up to savings is good with me.
I can vouch for the 1.5 gpm even with long hair so it’s great and I am excited to try the other settings. It literally takes minutes to change and you can save big money each month on hot water and you are conserving water! A + for me.
Here is a link if you want to test it out yourself. And if you buy with this link, you will be helping this blogger! The price is right too. Small price coming in at less than $7, it adds up to big savings on your energy bill and an easy switch!
